Disneyland for the 60th Anniversary December 2015

It's officially not my birthday anymore :( so it's time for me to start planning our trip to Disneyland! I can't wait to see the winter and anniversary decorations!! I think the last time I went to Disneyland was almost 10 years ago for my high school senior trip (woo the class of 2006!!!). We will be leaving early morning on the 26th, hitting up the Hollywood sign for a hike, go to Disneyland for the 27th, and heading back home to Modesto on the 28th.

Planning:
I'm driving myself crazy!! I'm definitely one of those people that likes to have a game plan in place. Since this will be a surprise for my nephew for Christmas, we can't consult him in what he'd like to do SOOOOOO we are going to attempt to do it all (buhahaha!!). It will be his first time at Disneyland so we have wrapped up his presents with Disney themes to give him hints as he opens his presents on Christmas morning. He's going to be so excited! I wanted to be there for the 60th anniversary before they change Aurora's castle and am on a tight budget, so we are going to try to be as cost effective as possible...

Hotel/Tickets:
I booked the hotel a couple months in advance on Priceline.com for a really good deal ($171.56 for 2 nights at the DoubleTree in Santa Ana). It will be a bit of a drive, but I think a nicer room will make up for the 30 minute drive. I just purchased our 1 day tickets ($99 each) and a parking pass ($18) from the Disneyland site. The site was super temperamental so I will have to call tomorrow for my other tickets.

Food:
I figured that we could pack snacks to munch on throughout the day. I will take it in a backpack so we wont have to go back to a locker or spend extra cash. These won't include any mayo or anything that will melt. Frozen waters will help us to stay hydrated! We will be taking a food break in the middle of our day and leave the park to find food!

Rides/Shows:
My sister and I started to plan out our rides route. Pinterest was a big help with our search for tips! We figured that we would get fast passes for the main rides we want to go to and then while we wait we can go to all the other rides with shorter wait times while we wait. We have shows scheduled in between to keep our day fun filled and jam packed!

Things to bring:
I don't want to kill my phone battery with all the pictures I will be taking so I will have my camera, charger for when I find a place to plug in, my portable charger, pins to trade, glow sticks for the night shows, and I will be downloading the wait time app on my phone.

I'm definitely super excited to see Disneyland after all these years. I will definitely bring back feedback on how the trip went and how our rides schedule worked out.

Yet another conclusion to a great quickie! Short getaways are the best!!! Until next time..
DON'T forget to share and subscribe:)
❤always, Christine
